Cropping Weekend

Last weekend I went to a 2-Day crop at the gorgeous Russellee B & B just outside of Tumut. Some of us decided to make a weekend of it, by staying overnight on the Saturday night, so we were able to scrap late into the night.

I had a fantastic weekend. Caught up with lots of my scrapping committments, after being behind with Mum's passing and being sick.

This was the challenge I did on Saturday. Kit was supplied and we had to scrap a LO the 3 winter photos. This was what I came up with.................

Great company, lots of laughs and good food. All in all a top weekend!

This is a the Sunday group...........

Chookscraps August CC

I had fun doing the challenges for this months CC.............

Challenge 1 ~ background an olympic colour, 5 circles (anything round), plus something gold, silver or bronze.
Challenge 2 ~ inspiration from the painting "Autumn". I took my inspiration from two of the colours in the painting.
Challenge 3 ~ We had to pick a sketch from round one of "Its Raining Sketches". Thank you Chilli, I loved this sketch..............
DT Challenge ~ No flowers or bling, distressed edges and triangles. The Chooks were not kind this month. This is what I came up with.................

123 Challenge Blog August Challenge

This months challenge was.............
1. Self portrait - I had fun with this. I have never tried to take a photo of myself before. Twenty pics later, I had this shot!
2. More than 5 colours, I think I have ended up with 6 in this
3. Lots of bling, don't know about lots, all my bling is pink, but managed to find some brads to do the job and added some kindy glitz to my handcut flowers.

Scrap Lounge Sketch

This LO I have done using the Scrap Lounge August Sketch.............

Sad Time

My Mum died two weeks ago and last Friday she was laid to rest with my Dad.

So I have had a busy time with all the arrangements and my family flew home for a few days from Queensland.

This is the peom my niece read at the service.............

Don’t cry for me

Don’t cry for me now I am at peace
The road has been hard for a while
But it will ease
Remember the good times not the bad.
Embrace each day, every mile
Think of the happy times we have had
Think of me sometimes and smile.
Remember my youth, courage and strength
Remember my life, but not for its length
For it is the quality of time well spent
That leaves an imprint that is well meant
I have been blessed to live my life
To have been a child, an adult, a wife
To have been a daughter
A mother and a grandmother
In life there are many achievements
Happy is the one with a life well spent ~Jacqueline Jenkins

Got to meet lots of friends that I have known on-line for years, including Jolene and Fran (scrapcat). Had lots of laugh, yummy food, great company and came home with some gorgeous LO’s and cards.
