On-Line Classes

On Friday night I managed to sign myself up for 2 on-line classes!

The first one was at Craftin' In Style. This gorgeous LO was designed by Marni Telford. I purchased the pack and have used it for this class. The UL paper are so bright, and it was hard to find the right photo to use for the LO. Hope you don't mind Kay, but I love this photo of you and it has worked really well with the LO. Thank you Marni, the handcutting was hard work, but well worth it!

Chookscraps on-line class was a gorgeous LO by Scrapcat based on a celebration using multiple photos. We used out own supplies, and I didn't have the embellishments to go with the LO. This is the LO that I created, photos from Connor's fourth birthday. I just love the photo of Cameron and Connor. I am happy with how this has turned out. Thanks for a great class Fran.

Two of the Chookscraps monthly challenges......

First challenge was to scraplift a LO from the Chooks gallery. Rottnest Island is a scraplift of Lorraines gorgeous LO 'Collie'.
Swim like a fish, you had to get inspiration from out your window....it was raining yesterday morning, so I have done a beach LO.

Chookscraps Girl Night In CC

What a weekend....... Girls Night In for work and the Chooks CC! Challenges, raffles, auctions, etc etc. Lots of fun, chatting and heaps of scrapping. All for a great cause, raising much needed funds for breast cancer research.

These are the LO's I scrapped for the Chooks CC..............

I'm a Chooks Design Team Member

OMG, its now official and I can TELL EVERYONE.........I have been offered and accepted a Design Team position on Chookscraps. And I wasn't even home and on-line when it was announced at the special Girls Night In Cybercrop. I was at a real Girls Night In with work collegues raising funds for Breast Cancer Research.

My first job as a DT was to complete the CC challenge, which is set my Chooks members. This month we had to complete a LO with buttons, sewing, painting (and not on chipboard) and with rub-ons. This is my LO that I did.....

Western Australian Holiday and Retreat

I had the best holiday. Spent the longweek at the Chookscraps Retreat at Evedon Park. Fantastic.......what a top spot to stay, the yummiest food, great company and scrapping 24/7 if you wanted to and of course "the shop". I produced 15 gorgeous LO's and a canvas. Check out my slide show.

After the retreat I headed back to Perth for a couple of days of sight seeing, doing tours of Perth, Freemantle and Rottnest Island.

This is Wellington Dam, just outside of Collie. I was told by the locals it was a must see! So much water, and here in the east we are in the worst drought ever!

Life sized bronze sculpture of a fisherman at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour.
Gorgeous scenery from Rottnest Island.

There was plenty of quokka to be seen on the island......

I spent some on my free time at Rottnest on a joyflight over the Island. We were lucky enough to see a pod of humpback whales. These pics where taken from the plane!

This photo of Perth was taken from Kings Park...

Chookscraps Retreat 2007

Woo Hoo, it's nearly here. Only 3 more days until I fly out to Perth for my second Chookscraps Retreat. I can't believe how quickly the past 12 months have gone and I can't wait to catch up with all the Chooks again. Off to the chemist to print off my photos this arvo after work and tonight I will be putting them into packs.

After the retreat I am heading back to Perth for 3 days and have tours booked for Perth, Freemantle and Rottnest Island. I have been warned by one of the teachers at work to get some sea-sick tablets for the trip over the Rottnest. Not ever having been in a boat at sea before, I have no idea whether I get sea-sick or not!

I picked up some Wirly Gigs from my LSS on Saturday, and used the first one on the 100% Boy LO last night. They look great and can't wait to use some of the others. Also got some yummy Making Memories paint. It is so easy to use and gives a gorgeous finish. I will be buying some more of these!

The Wagga Show is on next weekend, and I have entered LO's in the both the single LO and double LO sections. I have left my precious creations in Kim's hands to enter.

Family Matters
I had a win at Chooks last weekend with this LO I did for Challenge 3 of the September CC.

Proud of My Son
I got a third place in the Celebrating You in 2007 Challenge, 4th month challenges with this LO.

Sleep
This LO I scrapped for challenge 2 of the September Chookscraps CC. Challenge was to do a LO using only black, white and green, have a quote and some bling. LO is a sketch from Scrapbooks etc. The quote is used was: “Dreams are the flowers that bloom in your heart”.

Wonder Where Connor Is
Last Friday night I did the September Class at Chookscraps. Class was a LO with an acetate frame. This was fun and I love how it has turned out. Thanks Lorraine!

100% Boy
This LO is CIS Fathers Day class. It is done using the gorgeous KaiserCraft ‘Esperance’ range. As I had no fathers day photos I have turned it into a boy LO on Shayden. Love it, thanks Jolene!

Layouts to Share

September Chookscraps Monthly Challenge 2 ~ 100+ words of hand journalling. Sketch by Litte Book of Sketches.
September Chookscraps Monthly Challenge 1 ~ Round photo, flowers and 2 or more photos. This challenge ended up being a dare to a double LO as well. Love how this has turned out. This is a scraplift of Tammy Templeton's from SketchesOz.

Be You was suppose be a layout for one of the CC challenges, but its missing one of the criteria. I found this pp hard to work with. Scraplift of "Be Original Be You" by Karen Pedwell.

Challenge 2 ~ CIS CC. Love this UL paper. Too nice to cut up! I have used to Chookscraps June Pack for this LO.

This is Challenge 1 ~ Chookscraps CC. Love the look on Emma's face as she checks out Max.

My First Post......

Hi everyone

Thought it was time I started my own blog. One of my main reasons being that my family all live in another state, and they will now be kept up-to-date with my scrap creations.

Its a HUGE weekend with cybercrops on 2 of my favourite sites this weekend, Chookscraps and CIS. I have completed 1 LO for each CC so far and a card for the Chooks card challenge. So today I plan on getting some more of the challenges done for the CC's.

In 11 days I will be flying to WA for the Chookscraps Retreat. The location, near Bunbury is just gorgeous and in the bush. Can't wait to catch up with all the other chooks. Lots of organise and so little time. Have to make up my packs next weekend and decided what gear I am taking.

This LO I did last weekend using a CIS Sketch
